Agnieszka Zebracka

Certified Sworn Translator of English and Polish

Agnieszka has over 25 years’ experience as a professional translator, interpreter and English teacher. In recent years, she has completed a Preparatory Course for DPSI (English Law) in Russian. Other achievements include completing the Met Test for Police Interpreters and Translators in London.  She also passed an Examination in Russian at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw. Agnieszka completed most of her studies in Poland, this included a Postgraduate Diploma in IT Studies for Teachers and a Postgraduate Diploma in European Studies. She works as a Sworn and Court Translator and Interpreter. She holds an MA in English Philology from the Jagiellonian University of Krakow.

She has been working with us from the very beginning. Agnieszka is a Polish and Russian Interpreter and one of her other roles is the proofreading of translated documents, to ensure a flawless outcome.

Ana Maria Sivoglo

Operations Manager and Romanian/English Interpreter and Translator

Ana Maria is our Nominated Romanian Interpreter. She has been translating professionally since 2000 and became a Qualified ESOL teacher in 2011. Ana Maria holds a BA in Banks and Stock Exchange, as well as an MA in Marketing and Business Communication. She delivers our Romanian Culture and Language Awareness Courses. Ana Maria is a Romanian native-speaker, she is fluent in English and has intermediate language skills in both French and Portuguese.

Outside work, she is passionate about reading, traveling and interior design.

Ana Medan

Freelance Translator

Ana has been working as a freelance translator for 9 years and has obtained a BA in Master of Civil Engineering in Novi Sad, Serbia. Her role at PAB is to collaborate in translations projects in the following language pairs: ENGLISH-SERBIAN; ENGLISH-CROATIAN; ENGLISH-BOSNIAN and vice-versa.

Her personal interests include arts and travelling. Two of her favourite quotes are:

Bence Farkas

Freelance Translator

Bence Farkas graduated as a Teacher of Fine Arts and Visual Communications in Hungary in 2001 and worked in the UK for 8 Years.

Now working for PAB from Hungary as a freelance translator and proofreader of the Hungarian-English language pair, translating technical, legal and general texts from and to the Hungarian language via a secure internet platform.

Bence is interested in politics, economics, architecture and spiritual readings.

Candy Yan

Freelance Translator

Candy Yan has been working as a Chinese freelancer for more than 7 years. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the Shandong University of Science and Technology. Her main areas of work are translations in the fields of Medicine, Economics, Mechanics, IT, Health Care, Marketing, Finance and Website translation

She has been working with PAB as a Chinese freelance translator since 2013.

The art of translation is one of her main interests.

Erika Singh

Project Manager and Certified Translator of English and Lithuanian

Erika is a Lithuanian-English translator/Interpreter, as well as a Project manager at PAB Languages Centre. She oversees Quality Management and was actively involved in reviewing the company’s procedures and policies with great success, in October 2011, when PAB Languages was awarded its ISO 9001:2008 certificate. In that same month, she received the ‘’Employee of the Quarter’’ award. In January 2012, she was registered by the Lithuanian Embassy in London as an approved Lithuanian – English translator.

In 2006 Erika graduated in Accounting, Management and Business Administration in Lithuania. Also in her home country, she worked as an Accounts Assistant and Administrative Assistant, dealing with company accounts and customers. Moreover, she undertook several different English language training courses. She is fluent in Lithuanian, Polish and Russian, as well as having basic knowledge of German and Punjabi. She works closely with other Interpreters to ensure accurate results and that clients receive the best possible service. As part of PAB’s career development programme, she has completed a 12-month Internal Training course for Interpreters, and is currently pursuing a degree in Public Services Interpreting (DPSI). 

Ewa Lipinska

Sworn Russian Translator and Russian/Polish interpreter

Ewa joined the company in October 2011. She is a qualified translator with a Master’s Degree in Russian Philology and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Philology. With over 25 years of professional experience, Ewa’s work is done for both our UK and Polish offices, engaging with clients within the export and import arena. She has worked as a certified Russian Interpreter for the Polish Government and for the Ministry of Agriculture in Russia in the 1990s. Ewa also has experience of travelling to Russia with British clients, assisting them during business meetings. She is currently working with Russian delegations visiting the UK and Poland. She also supervises various Russian translation projects. Ewa’s background is in teaching, law, politics, tourism, marketing and technical translations.

Grzegorz Iwanczuk

Area Coordinator in Poznan and Polish/English Translator

Grzegorz Iwanczuk is one of the more recent additions to our team in Poland and he came highly recommended. Grzegorz is a very committed and dedicated individual who always tries to achieve the best possible results. Throughout the years his efforts, sharpness and natural team leadership skills were an invaluable contribution to his successful career. After 10 years, he is still recognised by one of the biggest car dealerships in Poznan as one of their top sales representatives. In terms of education, he obtained a Degree in Marketing from the “Bałtycka Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczna”- Baltic College of Humanities, in Koszalin, which landed him a position in a local newspaper’s advertising team. He also attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the “Uniwersytet Im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu” – Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan.  Grzegorz has been working with us since July 2014 as an area coordinator in Poznan, Poland. He is responsible for the overseeing of marketing strategies and he is also the administrator of our multilingual website. Grzegorz’s two favourite quotes are:

Hala Magdy

Freelance Translator

Hala Magdy obtained her BA in the Women’s College at the Ain Shams University in Egypt. She majored from the Faculty of Education, English department. She cooperates with PAB as a freelancer. Her main interests in life are translation, reading, surfing the web, swimming and walking and she also very much enjoys reading and writing poetry.

Hala is a registered member of organisations such as Proz.com, translatorscafe, Odesk and Elance among others. She is an active member of El Sawi Cultural Wheel and Resala, a non-profit charitable organization based in Egypt.

Hylton Barnes

Communications and Marketing Director

Hylton Barnes has experience of building and managing a culturally diverse workforce overseas. At PAB, Hylton is responsible for internal and external communications, promoting the PAB brand, attracting new customers, raising our profile nationally and building our profile overseas; transforming our marketing strategy and representing PAB nationally and internationally.


He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Institute for Independent Business. He has more than twenty years' experience of managing business and building multicultural teams in Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific. More recently has taught international business students from over forty different countries.

Iwona Lebiedowicz

Founder and Managing Director of PAB Translation Centre Ltd.

Iwona is a locally recognised speaker and presenter. She was the winner of the “Hardy & Collins Award” for her Polish Cultural Training in 2012, the “Young Business Person of the Year 2013” Award and she was “highly commended” at the Institute of Directors (IOD) East Midlands Director of the Year Award in 2015. Since 2009, Iwona has been actively promoting Poland, her native country, and she has been delivering a series of “Love Poland - Polish Language and Culture” training events across the UK.

Iwona holds a Master’s Degree in European Studies and qualified as a Polish/Russian Interpreter. She is also a certified NLP Practitioner.  Utilising her experience in human resources, recruitment, translation and commercial strategy, Iwona’s focus within PAB is in setting the strategic direction of the business, raising standards, believing in people and promoting excellence. 

Iwona actively supports the community, giving guidance in relevant language and cultural issues, as a Governor at Boston College Corporation 2012-2015. Iwona still finds time to support charities such as Young Enterprise and Junior Chamber International as well as Business Language Champions.

Krystyna Golebiowska

Multilingual Coordinator

Krystyna is a qualified counselling psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Social Psychology and she is a member of the British Psychological Society.


She also has training and experience in Speech and Language Therapy and Assessments, mainly working with children with English as an additional language. Krystyna is experienced in working in Sexology Consultation Unit in the Psychotherapy Centre where she worked with clients with Gender Identity Disorder, Gender Reassignment Surgery and clients with sexual dysfunction.


She has been working for PAB Languages since April 2015. She is based in Lincoln Central Children’s Centre, working with families with English as an additional language and providing emotional and practical support and advice. As a part of Bi-Lingual Service, she supports the engagement of families that find it difficult to access services due to language or cultural barriers.  Krystyna delivers PAB services in four languages: English, Polish, Russian and Lithuanian.


Krystyna loves spending her free time travelling with her family.

Lelde Plesa

Multilingual Coordinator and Latvian/English Interpreter

Lelde started at PAB Translation as a call-out translator/interpreter back in 2011. She really enjoyed her work and, when an opportunity came to join us on a more permanent basis, she promptly accepted. In her time working here she has grown both personally and professionally. She holds a NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service. At the moment, she works as a Project Manager. She is a Latvian native-speaker, proficient in English and also has basic Polish and Russian language skills. She is passionate about music and languages. Lelde holds Foundation certificate in Project Management by PRINCE 2.

Lyubomira Genova

Freelance Translator

Lyubomira has a Master’s Degree in English Literature and Linguistics. She was a senior lecturer at the University of Sofia and has been an EAP tutor at Nottingham University, on a part-time basis, since 2007. She has nearly 15 years’ experience as a freelance translator and interpreter (Bulgarian>English; Russian/French/Macedonian> Bulgarian). She joined PAB in September 2013 and worked on a number of translation projects. Her main areas of expertise as a translator/interpreter are Law, EU, Labour Relations, Management, Audit, IT, Fine Art and Design. Some of her main interests include Translation Studies, Cognitive Linguistics and Interior Design.

Mar Brito

Certified Sworn Translator of English and Spanish

Mar holds a Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting. She is a Certified Sworn Translator of EN-ES. She collaborates with PAB as a freelancer. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, food, foreign cultures and languages, music, literature and art. She is passionate about the environment and nature.

Monika Przybyszewska

Company Bookkeeper

Monika holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade (French DESS) from the University Paris XII Val-de-Marne in France. She is a Polish native-speaker who lived in France for 15 years and has extensive experience in translation, having completed Postgraduate Translation Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland). Monika holds a Sage 50 Accounts Level 2 Certification.

Monika joined PAB Languages Centre as a call-out translator in June 2011 and since July 2014 she has been working as a Sales Ledger Assistant.

She is very interested in foreign languages and cultures.

Paula Ribeiro

Area Coordinator in Poznan and Portuguese/English Interpreter

A keen learner, Paula has displayed a propensity for languages from an early age. This influenced her career and schooling choices later on in life. She is dedicated, driven and goal oriented. She studied at the prestigious Escola de Turismo e Hotelaria do Porto- Núcleo Escolar da Feira (School of Catering & Hospitality of Porto-Feira’s Branch) and gained considerable people management, interpersonal and customer service skills through carefully selected work placements in which she performed well and for which she received high praise. Early in 2014 Paula received her TEFL Certificate - 140 hour Advanced TEFL Qualification, yet another achievement to add to her list. Paula started working for PAB Languages on a call-out basis back in August 2010 and quickly became a valued member of the team.

Since January 2014 she has been PAB Area Coordinator in Poznan, Poland and is part of the team responsible for the company’s overseas activities.

Paula is interested in languages and has recently enrolled in a Polish Language Course for Foreigners. She is a Portuguese native-speaker and is fluent in English. She also has intermediate French skills, basic Spanish Skills and a basic understanding of written Italian. Two of her mottos are:

Ruta Rubina

Project Manager, Russian and Latvian Translator

Ruta graduated from the University of Latvia with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Philology and a specialisation in interpretation/translation. She then pursued further education at Columbia University where she obtained a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and a specialisation in International Business. Since receiving her Master’s Degree Ruta has worked as an interpreter/translator as well as a business consultant.

Working for PAB she has had the opportunity to apply both areas of her studies– interpretation/translation as well as her business skills. As well as being an interpreter/translator for PAB she is also responsible for: the company’s compliance with ISO standards, preparing quotations for clients, negotiating with freelancers, maintaining and devising office systems and assisting with the recruitment process.

She finds her role at PAB Languages Centre very interesting and challenging, where effective teamwork is at the focal point of the success of the company.

Virga Steponoviciene

Multilingual Coordinator and Lithuanian, Russian and English Interpreter

Virga has been a part-time Multilingual Coordinator since April 2014, having started to work for PAB as a Lithuanian Interpreter, on a call-out basis in October 2013. She provides support to Lithuanian and Russian speaking clients. She is also responsible for integrating with the community and accessing local services, as well as providing translating and interpreting services. An important part of her role is to ensure Customer Service satisfaction and good relationships with clients; producing documents, writing reports and presentations, attending functions, events and seminars, and delivering bespoke training programmes to educate parents and families experiencing social and cultural issues. Virga has received her Level 2 Translator’s Certificate as part of our ongoing training programme. She gained her City & Guilds Level 2 Certificates in Adult Numeracy and Adult Literacy from Boston College, Boston, United Kingdom. She also holds an ECDL Level 2 Certificate from the same institution and she studied Lithuanian Philology Degree at the Vilnius University- Faculty of Humanities- Vilnius, Lithuania. She is fluent in Lithuanian, Russian and English and has a basic knowledge of Polish and Latvian.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading books, cooking, crafts and socializing.

Verena Cottis

Nominated German Translator

Verena holds a National Diploma of Business gained in Berlin “International Wirtschaftskorrespondetin” (trilingual business studies) and has nearly 30 years' business experience in Germany as well as within the UK; attending international trade shows, assisting companies with their international marketing strategy and aiding businesses to successfully handle international negotiations.


Main areas of expertise: import/export, accounting, marketing and multilingual negotiations.
